Talented Dogs Play Bluegrass Music on the Banjo

Being originally from Kentucky, where Bluegrass is King (both the musical and the lawn kind), I find this video to be one of the funniest things I have see in ages! I am too much of an amateur to teach my dogs to do this!

And people think Kentucky is only known for its horses. We have talented dogs (and owners), too!

Antlers for Dogs and PetAlive Natural Remedies for Dogs

One of my favorite websites, AntlersAndChews.com, has added a line of homeopathic and natural remedies to their product line. They have remedies for diarrhea, lack of energy, bad breath, diabetes and many other infirmities that dogs can be susceptible to.

PetAlive is a recognized name in natural health solutions. They actually started out producing products for humans, and when those products became wildly successful, they branched out to animal remedies also. AntlersAndChews.com carries only dog products, so you can easily find what you need without having to wade through cat, horse, and other animal products. (Bonus: And the prices are lower on AntlersAndChews.com!)

PetAlive Products Reduce Vet Bills

Most humans hate going to the doctor. And those of us who are pet owners hate equally as much having to take our dogs to the vet. We do it because we are not familiar with options the way we are with human ailments. We can't give our dog an Alka Seltzer, partly because we do not know if there is a sour stomach or acid indigestion causing the problem.

However, there are some obvious symptoms that tell us something is not right. For instance, runny poop is not normal in dogs any more than it is for humans. In the same way, dogs passing excessive amounts of gas is not normal either. Now, instead of taking your dog to the vet for such ailments, you can find natural remedies from PetAlive, a company that provides a line of similar homeopathic medicines for humans.

You can find the entire line of PetAlive products at amazingly low prices at AntlersAndChews.com. RuniPoo Relief will take care of diarrhea, and Flatulence Preventer will knock out the smelly toots. There are almost 60 different natural remedies available, and with the savings that they will provide, you will be able to take your dog on a one of a kind vacation! It'll be a win-win for both of you!

Antlers for Dogs and Other Products

Cute video for anyone looking for naturally healthy dog treats. It is for AntlersAndChews.com. They have now added some homeopathic remedies for common dog ailments.

Walking Side by Side with Your Dog

Did you ever hear the old saying: “Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow; don’t walk behind me, I may not lead; just walk beside me and be my friend.” As humans this is something that we understand for the most part. But our furry four-legged friends are not as apt to agree with the concept. Obedience trainers will tell you that when walking your dog, do not let them walk in front and lead the way. That's easier said than done with energetic dogs.

It takes as much discipline for the owner to not let his or her dog lead the way as it does for the dog to learn to walk aside the owner. Here is an article on Dog Breeder Info Center that explains in words and pictures and videos the proper way to walk your dog on a leash. I enjoyed reading it, and it makes good sense.

Later, after practicing with your dog, you can reward her with delicious, natural ChurpiChews Micro Puffs, available at AntlersAndChews.com.

Hiking Trails Are Not Just for People: Dogs Love Them Too

I rarely need a reason to go for a walk, other than the fact that I love to walk. When I am by myself, I usually listen to a book on CD or one that I have downloaded from the public library to my iPhone (isn’t technology wonderful?). But when I go out with our dogs for a walk, plugging up my ears with earbuds is not an option. That’s because our three rascals are so excited to go out that they all but pull my arms out of the socket. (I know that is bad training – see this post on a good article explaining how to walk your dog!)

Our dogs are pretty small breeds, so we do not have to take adventurous hikes across the countryside for them to get worn out. But if you have a large breed dog, then you might want to check out this article on “TopTen Hikes with Dogs.” Nancy Bouchard discusses some of her favorite dog-friendly hiking trails, and she has some terrific pictures to illustrate them.

And since dogs expend a lot of energy when they walk and play outdoors, you will want to give them a naturally healthy treat when they get home. We like bully sticks in particular, as they allow our dogs to chew to their heart's content and enjoy a treat that helps clean their teeth as they chew. Check out AntlersAndChews.com for great deals on bully sticks and other terrific dog products.
